Biography

DEZO (Jack Decuzo, he/him) is a techno DJ from Aarhus, Central Region of Denmark, who has made a name for himself as a respected and sought-after DJ in the local underground techno scene. His passion for electronic music began at a young age, and he has since become a dedicated scene member. DEZO started exploring the art of DJing at 13, after purchasing his first two CDJs & Mixer from his savings.

DEZO’s talent and commitment to his craft have taken him to prestigious techno events in Denmark and beyond. In 2022, He was invited to headline a tour of Malta, where he played at some of the most renowned clubs on the island. He performed notably at Sky Club Malta and Clique Club Malta, bringing his unique style and energy to audiences eager to experience his music.

DEZO’s performances are known for their versatility & intensity. He draws inspiration from his favorite artists, such as Carl Cox, Klanglos, James Hype, Coyu, Joris Voom, and Nicole Moudaber, both in terms of tunes & sound and skills & performance. While there may be many aspiring DJs, DEZO stands out with his unique approach to sound and mixing. He’s always looking for new inspiration and seeks to bring a novel perspective to his sets, whether playing house or techno. DEZO’s experiences traveling around Europe and the Middle East have broadened his horizons, allowing him to meet new people and catch different views on music and life. Each encounter enables him to gain a fresh take and vision, which he incorporates into his sets, making them captivating and unforgettable. He thrives on creating memorable and transformative experiences for his audience, who can feel his passion and dedication in each performance.

In addition to his skill set as a DJ, DEZO is also an experienced event organizer. Since 2019, and ongoing, he has organized the Beats & Beats events in Aarhus and gained more concrete insights into what makes a successful party each time.

Today, DEZO aims to broaden his reach by performing at more festivals and clubs in Denmark and worldwide to gain exposure to and feedback from new audiences and establish himself as a global techno artist.

DEZO never loses sight of his long-term goal of opening his techno club. The perspective of having complete creative control over the club’s atmosphere and musical direction drives him. He counts on his current and future experiences as an event organizer and DJ to strengthen the skills and knowledge necessary to create a dedicated space for techno fans to come together and live the music as a whole experience.
